Manchester United right back Rafael is adamant that their is a possibility that the Red Devils could walk away with this years Premier League crown.

Having not won the glorious trophy it since the 2012/13 season where Sir Alex Ferguson retained the title only to retire after getting it back.

The Brazilian said "Everything takes time but if we start to understand the way of playing like we are doing and the results are positive and everything starts to run smoothly, then for sure we have the chance to win the title."

Having signed for the club in 2008 with his brother Fabio the defensive full back has become an solid right back taking the position into his own possession.

At the tender age now of 24 years old it looks certain that his future lies within Old Trafford and that he will play out his peak careers in the United colours of red black and white.

The Rio De Janeiro born defender added "In my opinion, something changed. We have new players in the squad. Manchester United signed a lot of players and we have a new manager as well."

Rafael's future at Old Trafford will run until 2016 when his £60,000 per week contract runs out.

Out of the contract in which he signed in July 2012 he has earned close to £5.94m not including bonuses or signing on fees.

Da Silva also said "Season after season, things change and for us especially this year. All the coaching staff is new, and we have new team colleagues. Van Gaal always relies on his philosophy and now we are starting to understand this."

Having started the season okay a win against West Brom on Monday and then a win against Chelsea the following week will inherit some good words about a possible title challenge.

Sitting comfortable in fourth now with unbeaten leaders Chelsea a far distance ahead of the field will be difficult to catch.

We are only 7 games into this competitive Premier League season so it is hard to discover who will finish were as of yet because their is still 31 games left to play.
