Manchester united were offered James Rodriguez way back in 2010 as they were offered £5m to sign.

Instead of signing the young talent who has now progressed into a worldwide superstar they decided to sign Portuguese winger Bebe for £7.4m.

As a teenager Sir Alex Ferguson failed to spot the players potential for who he might have become and in this 2014 Brazil World Cup he has emerged as some people's player of the tournament as he has scored six goals in five games and made two assists.

He is creative young player who is a fantastic talent for the world of football. He currently plays for AS Monaco although Real Madrid are now favourites signing him in this summers window.

On the Manchester united front and it was a case of Rodriguez's agent trying to persuade clubs to take him to Europe although Manchester United never materialised into a move.

Instead we signed Bebe and Rodriguez went to Porto for 4 million where he made a name for himself and then moved to AS Monaco in 2013 for a transfer fee of £38.5million.
