Italians rule out sale of midfielder

AS Roma have ruled out that they will sale Kevin Strootman in January with Manchester United an interested party.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a switch from Roma to Manchester as United are keen on the central midfielder.

Roma general manager Mauro Baldissoni said ‘We miss him a lot, but he is getting closer to his return. We are proud that Kevin is part of our squad and he is not for sale.’

The Dutch international wasn't added or attempted to be added to the Manchester United squad roster this summer due to a long term injury.

The 26 year old has been ruled out until around January with an injury sustained which turned out to be extremely serve.

Manchester United are looking to emulate Real Madrid's way of football in making a team of Galacticos but not turning it into a business like the Catalan Giants.

A huge player in which he would present in the middle but a defender is the key essential in which Old Trafford needs at this part in time.

I can't complain that Strootman is a world class midfielder but he's recent injury could change his style as a long term injury could effect long term career.

It's a marquee signing if he does leave but is he a must need saviour signing we need? I think not our defence is the part in which is shattering to pieces at the moment.
