Manchester United completed their second signing of the Summer Window as Matteo Darmian completed his move from Torino on last week.

The fee for the 25 year old is believed to be around £12.75-13m as he puts pen to paper on a four year deal.

The Italian right back was the signing we least expected from this summer but it is a welcomed addition. Darmian is pretty new to everyone included myself who hadn't heard of him until he was linked with a move to United a few days ago.

Having played for AC Milan, Palemro and Tornio the full back is yet to venture out of Italy in terms of the club he is playing for.

However having spoken to many Manchester United fans Darmian is rated very highly in Serie A and could become one of the best right backs in the Premier League.

Upon his arrival he said Darmian "It is a dream come true to be joining Manchester United. I have loved the time that I have spent at Torino and I would like to thank the club and the fans for everything they have done for me."

The Italian born right back has represented the Italian national team at every level including the senior squad and played at right back for every one of Italy's World Cup matches.

Louis Van Gaal said this about him

"He has the ability to go forward in the attacking positions which is a fantastic attribute and much needed in the fast rhythm of the Premier League."

Darmian surprising spent nine years at AC Milan from 2001-2010 before being sold but their is an excitement within Manchester United fans to see what this unknown right back can do for the club!

Matteo will be involved in the pre-season tour which has already started!
