Injury crisis strikes

An defensive injury crisis has come upon us at Old Trafford ahead of the game against West Ham on Saturday.

It was confirmed that Johnny Evans, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones are all injured including the suspended Tyler Blackett.

Speaking at the pre match conference Van Gaal said "We have nine injuries and one suspension with Blackett, the younger players can have their chance now."

It is thought that Darren Fletcher or Daley Blind could be used as emergency centre backs in tomorrow's game.

Their is an alternative with young 19 year old Paddy McNair a under 21s star who is comfortable at centre back.

He also added "All the three right-sided centre-halves are out, I don't know how long they will be out for."

A troubled defensive was torn a part by a seemingly diminished Leicester City side on Sunday as they conceded four goals in the final 30 minutes.

Van Gaal finally added "We have to see what that means but I don't take risks with players."

Going into Saturday's clash I think we need to stay relaxed and just try to out score our opponents with defensive holding firm.

It will be a weak defence but a strong attack will need to overcome the goals in which we may concede and score considerably more.
