After falling out with now ex manager Jose Mourinho superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been reported to have wanted a transfer back to England. A club leading the chase is his former team of Manchester United who the winger/ forward has said he wants a return to. Sir Alex Ferguson departure may have changed Ronaldo's mind but this week the Portuguese star put his house in Madrid up for sell sparking speculation about his future. A fee in the region of around £55-65 million is the price range in which he would cost United.

 

Ronaldo started his career at Sporting Lisbon and at signed for a Sir Alex in 2003 for £12.75m. Ronaldo played nearly 200 matches for Manchester United scoring 84 goals including some fantastic finishes. Ronaldo has only won the Champions League once and that had been with the Red devils proving he can win trophies but since signing for a record fee of £80m to Real Madrid he has only one three trophies in 4 years. The Portuguese has failed on three attempts to pip fellow Spanish league player Lionel Messi to the Fifa Ballon d’or. For Madrid Ronaldo has been in scintillating form from the start scoring 146 goals in just 135 matches.
